Chapada Diamantina

Located in the center of the state of Bahia, 400 km from Salvador, and boasting one of the most beautiful landscapes in Brazil, the Chapada Diamantina has become an unmissable destination.

Day 1 Lençóis – Pai Inácio

Arrival in Lençóis; reception and transfer; accommodation. In the late afternoon, if there is time, departure to visit Morro do Pai Inácio, for a panoramic view and contemplation of the sunset. Return to Lençóis and overnight.

Day 2 Lençóis – Caves (CA)

Breakfast and departure to visit the Mucugezinho River waterfalls and the Devil’s Well, with the possibility of abseiling and zip-lining (optional, not included). After lunch, we’ll visit the Gruta Azul and Gruta da Pratinha, where we can take a good swim in a crystal-clear lagoon. We will also visit the Lapa Doce cave. Return to Lençóis and overnight. For those who choose option 2 on the next day of the itinerary, the overnight stay will be at the Pousada do Capão, located in the Capão Valley, which has one of the most beautiful views of the Chapada Diamantina. Dinner (included) and overnight.

Day 3 Baianas Memorial

Lençóis – Igatú – Canoe trip along the Marimbus (option 1) or Capão-Guiné trail (option 2) OPTION 1 – MARIMBUS CANOE TOUR Departure by vehicle on a dirt road to Remanso, a quilombo village. We will board canoes with up to 6 seats for a boat trip of approximately 2 hours through the region known as the Marimbus, the mini wetlands of the Chapada Diamantina. At the end, a river bath in the waterfalls of the Roncador River and a typical lunch at Duval’s house, where vehicles will be waiting for us to take us to the picturesque and pleasant village of Igatú, known as the “Brazilian Machu Picchu”. Accommodation at the Pousada Pedras de Igatú, dinner and overnight. OPTION 2 – CAPÃO – GUINEA TRAIL After breakfast, transfer to the village of Bomba, in the Capão Valley. Here begins one of the most beautiful trails in the National Park. It will be approximately 15 km to the village of Guiné. Along the way, you will walk through the Gerais do Vieira, Gerais do Rio Preto and have the opportunity to see Pati, which is considered one of the most beautiful valleys in Brazil. Snack along the way and at the end of the walk, we’ll head to the picturesque and pleasant village of Igatú, known as the “Brazilian Machu Picchu”. Accommodation at Pousada Pedras de Igatu, dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Igatú – Buracão Waterfall

Breakfast and departure for the southern end of the National Park. We’ll head to the municipality of Ibicoara to see one of the most beautiful places in the Chapada. With a circular drop of approximately 100 meters and an impressive winding canyon, the Buracão Waterfall is one of those breathtaking places. On a 6 km hike, we’ll visit the bottom and top of the waterfall and after a snack, we’ll return to Igatú for dinner and the night.

Day 5 Igatú – Lençóis – Poço Azul

After breakfast, departure to visit the Poço Azul, a spectacle of nature lost in the backlands of Bahia. Lunch on site and return to Lençóis to board a bus, private transfer or flight to your next destination. Duration: 5 days
