In the northeast of the State of Goiás, the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park protects 60 thousand hectares of the Brazilian cerrado. Its fantastic formations originate from waterfalls, canyons, valleys, natural pools and exotic landscapes, such as Vale da Lua.
Panoramic views of the red-orange fields of the cerrado and rocks in contrast with the light pastel tones of the late afternoon sky delight all visitors. This is the perfect environment for hiking, crossing and rappelling activities. But the natural attractions extend far beyond the limits of the Park, through a region with a large number of rivers.
The natural beauty and abundance of quartz crystals that cover the ground brought an aura of mysticism to Chapada dos Veadeiros. Located on the 14th Parallel, the same parallel that crosses Machu Pichu, in Peru, it is known worldwide to visitors linked to ufology, for stories of flying saucers and signs of extraterrestrials.
Chapada dos Veadeiros was declared a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001.
