The beautiful landscape of the Vale dos Vinhedos, located between the cities of Bento Gonçalves, Garibaldi and Monte Belo do Sul, was colonized in 1875 by Italian immigrants. In this region, the production of grapes of guaranteed quality and good wines began at the end of the 19th century, with colonization, and over time the techniques for growing vines and producing wine developed; the result was growth until the region became world famous.
