Pantanal

Nature is present in the Pantanal all year round.
In its two distinct seasons, the Pantanal is a unique and constant spectacle. From May to November is the dry season, when we can see a great variation in the local fauna, with flocks of herons, spoonbills, jaburus etc. The nests during this period are always the best places to photograph: alligators of all sizes, capybaras, a complete photo safari.
The flood season runs from December to April, when the rivers overflow and flow for many kilometers, uniting the bays and creeks into a veritable freshwater ocean. This is the period of the Pantanal’s flora, when the greenery explodes and lends its fertile soil to the aquatic flora and fauna.
The Mato Grosso Pantanal is located in the Center-West of Brazil, in an area estimated at 230,000 square kilometers, extending to Mato Grosso do Sul, Bolivia and Paraguay. Considered the largest ecological reserve in the Americas, the Pantanal has two seasons each year: the rainy season and the dry season.
During the rainy season the temperature reaches up to 38ºC, with a high percentage of relative humidity in the air. During the dry season the temperature is pleasant, ranging from 18ºC to 26ºC. Cuiabá is the gateway to the north of this ecological sanctuary, and Campo Grande to the south.
